This is how you wrote your question:
3/4 ÷ 70
3/4 x 1/70 = 3 / 280 = 0.010714285714285714285714285714286
I think you might be trying to split 70 into two pieces with a 3:4 ratio.
70 / 7 = 10
3 x 10 = 30
4 x 10 = 40

Lets pretend the 70 is money. You and your friend are in business. It is your business so you are going to get a bit more money than your friend. Your profit will be handed out at the ratio of 3:4. Three for your friend and 4 for you.
How do you divide 70 into the ratio 3:4?
As the ratio is 3 to 4, add these number together to see how many parts the $70. is to be divided.
3 + 4 = 7, so 7 parts are needed.
So divide the total by 7.
70/7 = 10, $10
Your friend would get 3x10 = $30
You would get 4x10 = $40.
Now, we are not talking money in the question so remove the dollar signs.
I hope this makes it more clear for you.

OK, here's an easy way to remember this. If the ratio is 3:4. here's what you do:
Add the two numbers of the ratio (3+4) which is equal to '7'.
Now, divide the number given (70) by the sum of the two ratio numbers (7) which is equal to '10'.
Finally, you multiply each number by '10' and put it in ratio format [(3x10):(4x10)] which is equal to '30:40'

Add 3+4 = 7. Since you multiply 7 by 10, you can do the same with each number of your ratio.

70 divided into a 3:4 ratio...
3x + 4x = 70
7x = 70
x = 10
3(x):4(x)
30:40

Um-m- wouldn't it be 30:40 ?
Don't you find out how many part there are in the ratio? That would be 7 parts of 10 each or 30:40.

First we detect the molar proportion: C = 80 two.sixty six/12 = 6.8883, H = 17.34/a million = 17.34 Empirical formulation: C= 6.8883/6.8883 = a million and H = 17.34/6.8883 = 2.5 for this reason the empirical formulation is C2H5 Now we detect the style of moles from PV = nRT, n = PV/RT stress = atmospheric stress - water vapour stress. = a million.017 - (12.80/760) = a million.017 - 0.017 = 1atm. Now n = PV/RT = (1atm x 2.48L)/(0.082atm.L/mol.ok x 288K) = 0.a hundred and five mole. So 0.a hundred and five mole of the compound weighs 6.90g for this reason a million mole will weigh 6.ninety/0.a hundred and five = sixty 5.seventy one Now we detect the multiplying component: (C2H5)x = sixty 5.seventy one or 29x = sixty 5.seventy one for this reason x = 2.3 = 2 So the molecular formulation is C4H10 (butane).
