Flowers in the Attic is my favorite

My daughter and I love her books and I read Flowers in the attic when she was a little girl (obviously not to her). The book made me cry and angry yet I loved it. (stayed away from powdered donuts for awhile). Petals on the Wind (the sequel was good by not as good as Flowers) Did not know you were a fan of the books. AWESOME...Alda (did you know in her early years writing it was HEAVILY remored that she was a man because she did not do appearances in the beginning...not true, but you know...that good of writing back then "just could not belong to a woman" WOW how things have changed...eva so slowly)

I used to, Starting with Flowers in the Attic, Petals on the
wind, If there be Thorns, etc. etc.
Flowers in the Attic was her 1st book ! I have passed on the
books to my oldest daughter and she loves them too !
V.C Andrews wrote many many books and different series.
Unfortunately, since she passed away, her books are being written by different authors for the V.C.Andrews Corporation
that her family started . These new ones are all stories that
she had started but never got to finish !

I have read many of her books, but haven't read any of the newer ones in years. I liked Flowers in the Attic, and the Heaven books.

Yes I have read all the series and also the ones written after her death that were supposed to be in the same 'style' (they weren't and didn't capture my imagination at all)
I find it kind of odd that these books were so popular because at the heart of them is incestuous love, which one wonders why that would be attractive to anyone. I liked them, until they got to that point, and then they put me off.

I liked them too, but I would need to read them again, I forgot haha.. but i did read most of them i think, and i know i liked them :-)
