I've been taking Yasmin for a month, and I just started my second month on Monday. For some reason, I started bleeding today. Does anyone know if this is normal? Could I be having my period again although I just finished it last Sunday? Help, I'm worried I'm pregnant.

If you took the pills as directed (similar time each day, didn't miss any), then you are not pregnant. The pill does cause abnormal bleeding for almost every woman who takes it. I bled irregularily on yasmin too. Unless the bleeding get's really heavy, then you are fine.

Breakthrough bleeding on birth control pills, especially the newer brands like Yasmin, is very common, and nothing to worry about. This doesn't last long, usually through two or three cycles as your body adjusts to it. Bleeding is seldom a sign of pregnancy, but if that concerns you, check with your gyno. Just a telephone call to him or her should reassure you that breakthrough bleeding is normal on the pill. Good luck!

You could be still adjusting to the pill. I've never taken Yasmin, but I was recently on a low dose bcp and was taken off them by my dr. because of cramps/bleeding.

It would depend, there are many reasons that that could be happen. Have you been taking it every day at the same time each day? Being even a couple of hours off could throw your system off. If you are worried you should call your doctor, or ask a nurse online.
