This is a Non Fiction book that I really thought was hard to put down, "Dispatches From The Edge: A Memoir of War, Disasters, and Survival" by Anderson Cooper. Anderson is the CNN field reporter we see at all the terrible disasters, tsumania, Iraq, Katrina, etc. He also tells of his personal life as the son of Gloria Vanderbilt. I recommend it highly.

If you mean books that were published recently, i would recommend going to a local bookstore and going to a section that interests you. If you mean in general, i really enjoy novels by Dan Brown, such as Deception Point and Digital Fortress. Sybil by Flora Rheta Schreiber is also very good. If you like classics, anything by Agatha Christie is excellent, as well as by Jane Austin. Orphans by V.C. Andrews is pretty good. The Observations by Jane Harris is interesting.

I have just re-read Kiss of the Spiderwoman by Manuel Puig. It is very well-written, and the characters are very compelling.
I would also recommend anything by Kurt Vonnegut, an American treasure who unfortunately died this week. I have also recently re-read his Galopogas, and TimeQuake. Vonnegut had the knack of causing the reader to see society from new perspectives.
