Unfortunately, I do not know what each color means. This is partially because I don't travel on a regular basis. I think what occurs at the airport, though necessary, has now become so routine, that people tend to forget that the procedure is in place as a security measure and begin to view it as an obstacle in their getting to their destination. In order for the threat level advisory system to be more effective, the procedure needs to be revised and it needs to contain processes and procedures that are specific to each level/each color. This specificity may begin to make people see the necessity and importance of the threat level advisory system and not allow it's routine/mundaneness to allow them to lower their level of alertness. This specificity may also teach people the differences among the levels of security.
I do not feel more safe now than I did before 911 because I do not feel that an effective security procedure has been implemented to ensure our safety. In fact, besides checking our luggage and making us take off our shoes, what other safety measures have been implemented?

Very little. The average American walks around in a fuzzy version of the Wizard of Oz with little or no thought to personal or national security. We must be shaken from our complacency by near total annihilation before we move our butts fast enough to get out of the way the freight train. Sad but true. Just as in 9-11 we will continue to pay the price until we fully realize the gravity of our war on these barbarians and the need to confront evil when it rears its ugly head. Thats if our own hasn't been lopped off in the meantime.

I don't pay attention to the threat level. I just know that whenever I hear that the threat level went up, I hurry up and go to the gas station because I know that the price of gas will as well. Unless they tell me what to be aware of (i.e. airport threat, water supply, bio-terrorism...), the threat level is useless. I am one of the American people who recognizes that fighting terror is an idiological concept. Terror cannot be fought. Terror is fear. As American people, we only know to be afraid because the U.S. government tells us to, and they do so by reporting a terror threat alert. When use war to fight an idiological concept, you become the terrorist because you know that your reasons for declaring war are based on false premises. I do not feel more safe after 9/11. I felt safe when American as Allies. Now we are in this mess alone.

Kick out politicians who're gentle/ sympathetic on terror - Mulayam/ Amar/ Vilas Rao/ Shiv Raj Patil/ Pranab Mukherjee.... additionally human beings like Arundhati Roy/ Rajdeep Sardesai - who only desire India to maintain extending arm of friendship to Pak, mutually because it stabs us in the back

I don't pay any attention to them...in fact, I couldn't tell you what "level" we are on right now without looking it up. I just try to be observant and careful as possible. There is only so much that I can control within my own power.
