This is a pretty involved job and I would say not for a beginner. You need some special tools as well. You have to start by disconnecting the air bag connector and the bulk connector for all the power and stuff that goes up the column. Next, unclip the air bag from the steering wheel and disconnect the electrical connection from it. Remove the steering wheel nut. Install a puller and remove the wheel. Remove the snap ring retainer from the steering shaft and pull the igniter coil and wiring out. Now remove the column covers by taking the bolts out from below to remove the lower section and then remove the two screws into the upper to remove the upper. You now have access at the ignition cylinder. What you have to do now is turn the cylinder to the start position and release the lock on the cylinder and the cylinder will pop right out. Simply reverse this order to install. You will have to reprogram the anti-theft deal with the new cylinder and all will be okay. Good luck.

disconet battery neg. then seperate the two case halfs from the upper column. if you look on the top of the column that the cylinder slides into, theres a little hole. you need to stick a small pick, 45 degree works great, into the hole while the key is in the start position and it will release and pull out.
you may have to also partially remove the ignition switch, if so its the square switch just below the cylinder. it has one release on each side, use a small pick to release them both
and it will slide down be sure they are in the correct postion when reinstalling. or the off, accessory, start will be out of whack.
