Since it's church, that means conservative dress. Since it's a robe, you should wear a nice light color dress underneath. For shoes, try a modest closed toe pump with tan or nude hose.
See my link below for an example.
Good luck and congratulations in advance!

For my confirmation class, we never got a robe. I'm a Lutheran, so it's probably different for other religions. I usually just wear my regular clothes because at my church you can wear jeans and a tshirt and it's fine. We want to be comfortable while worshipping the Lord!
Anyway, you should wear something under the robe, but make sure that you aren't wearing tons of layers so you're not really hot. Try wearing light feeling clothing that matches the robe color.

You should definitely wear something nice underneath, especially if you take the robe off after the Confirmation. If there is a ceremony, dinner, or party after wards, you should be wearing something nice and dressy because it is a special day for you, to renew your vowes with the church.

Most department stores have a section that you can pick a dress out from. They have small baby gowns for baptismal and things like that, and they also have dresses for ceremonies like confirmation. It is usually a very fancy white dress, almost like a minature wedding gown. Go to JC Penny's and ask a sales associate to help you. Also, you might want to check with your pastor to see if there is something specific you will need.

Hmm if you aren't sure can you ask the vicar/ a family member/ friend?
If not then I would probably wear something underneath (just incase) but just a skirt and a short sleeved top so no one can see that you are wearing them.
That way if someone goes "Oh my goodness, don't you have anything on underneath?" You can laugh and say.
"Of course I do." and show them!
It's a win/win situation!

A beautiful, simple and stunning white dress, a white cotton veil with a red cross sewn into it, looks prefect, fitting and lovely for the occasion. That is what I wore to mine, many years ago. I still have my prayer book that I got as a gift, for the occasion.
