when you got one of the top 10 picks like the redskins do, #6, your gonna take a look at all the top prospects. Also, even though they have campbell, one of the strategies to the draft is to try and throw other teams off on who youre gonna pick. IF the skins can get other teams to believe they would take jarmarcus if he is there, then other teams that are really interested in JaMarcus, Like the vikings at #7, or Miami at #9 might trade with the Skins. So it never hurts to take a look at all the top prospects.

Well, for the past couple of years, the Redskins have been pretty shaky when it came to QB. With Mark Brunell doing alright, then failing the next season, then Campbell doing better, but not by much, that's where the Redskins see their area of need. Actually, I wouldn't disagree with them. They need a guy who is new and that can lead a team. They see that in JaMarcus, and looking at the way that he was last season and in the Sugar Bowl (all post-Katrina), he is one of the best rookies that personify that "leader" role. Plus, he is the position that the Redskins need, so it all works out. Yet, the Raiders have the pick now, so we'll see.

First off he may not be there by the time that the Redskins pick, so that thought may be MOOT. Second it doesn't hurt to see what people have, as I said the Redskins realize they may not have a chance to get him. Anyway they took out Brunell because he is old(he has been aged physically beyond his years) and put in Campell. So it is a question of do you think Campell is the future. Maybe they don't, or maybe they want to see what else is out there. Why do you think they are going to draft Russell(IF he is there) just because they looked at him?

Snyder is tired of wasting his money on tired old vets. He wants to try wasting it on fat young draftees.
