Is it by any chance a Lexmark? They seem to be notorious for jamming for both the desktop and corporate network printer models.

Things to keep in mind:
- If your paper sits in the paper load tray for extended periods of time and doesn't lay flat, consider storing it flat and only using when you need it. The curling could affect going through the device.
- Ensure the paper is aligned for the device. If you can load multiple sizes of paper, ensure the size guide properly holds the paper so it doesn't load improperly.
- You can try to wipe the rubber rollers with rubbing alcohol.

If this is a cheap desktop printer, make sure to evaluate the cost of repair versus the cost of buying a new printer. New printers are generally sold at a very low cost (don't worry, the manufacturers make it up in the cost of ink).

Try using some condense air, inside of your printer, especially where it pulls in the paper.
