Oh boy...I have a lot of gay male friends, and I know how this goes. First of all, what people don't realize, even in the 21st century, is how very DIFFICULT it is for someone (male or female) to come out of the closet. There is so much pressure on gay people- from family, friends and society, to ignore their true selves and live a lie. Now, I'm sure you must have loved your girlfriend- you were with her for 9 whole years! But, it would have been much worse if you had stayed with her, continuing living a lie. It was probably extremely messy when you told her about your sexual orientation, and I bet she blames herself. But it has nothing to do with her- it's all about who YOU are. I'm proud you came out, and NO it was not wrong. If you had stayed with her, and suppressed your real feelings for the same sex you would start to resent her and it would be even worse than it probably is now. You did the right thing. Good luck.

No it is absolutely right. Of course you can still have a relationship with her but if you don't feel any sexual tension towards her than don't lead her on. It is completely natural for someone to go through what you are right now. Though being straight, I have never experienced it for myself. So my answer is no it is not wrong, don't worry you did the right thing, be who you are and don't worry about what others say or think.

No, it wasn't incorrect to offload her. It replaced into incorrect to waste 9 years of her existence on an identical time as you have been dreaming of adult adult males yet hiding it from her. i won't be able to decide for what thank you to describe what a despicable cowardly unhappy excuse for a human you're for doing that to her. There are only too many alternatives.

There is nothing wrong with that what-so-ever. You can't be anyone but yourself, and your sexuality is a part of you and you can't change it. Hopefully you talked to her about it, let her down easy and explained that its not her or anything to do with her or anything that she did. Perhaps you will be able to remain friends since you already have a closeness after 9 years.

It sucks that it took you sooooo long to admit it. But hey, better late than never. She might be hurt cause il'll feel like she wasted 9 years with a lie, but its better for both of you. Good luck

Yes it is wrong. You had no business spying on her in her own closet. Go back into the closet.

How did you just now figure it out? Leading her on for 9 years was very wrong of you. If you knew you were gay all along, you should've just been upfront with her years ago.

It's wrong that you were dating her for nine years, not that you came out. Are you sure she didn't dump you?
