Do i need a ps2 network adapter for the slimline classic?

I have the Slimline classic Playstation 2. I wanted to connect online because i never tried it. But What im saying is that people are saying you need a network adapter for the connetion. Does the slimline need one or do i need to buy it to go online. Is it already Installed in it.

Nope ^_^ The slimline has it built in, you'll just need to configure it with the online start-up disc that came with your slimline

Well, if you have the clunky PS2, I've heard it needs a network adaptor, however, since I have never seen any, I wouldn't know, however, my PS2 slim works just fine out-of-the-box with its ethernet backside port.


Edit: Oh. K, lol, I thought "Slimline Classic" was a name of a game. Everyone just calls it a PS2 Slim, so I got confused ^_^;;

The slim ps2 has the network adapter built in.

You need the following:
ethernet cable
internet broadband (minimum 512kb)
register with Sony for network setup disc
memory card
online compatible games

no u dont need anything. it comes in built into the back.

Here is how to set it up

1.Cut your modem completley off.
2.Remove the RJ45 cable from the back of ur PC (it looks like a phone line)
3.Plug the RJ45 into the back of PS2
4.Create a new network setting and your done!(u need a memory card to make it so it will be saved)

hassle-free Get an Ethernet cable and hook it uo shop on with the instuctions indoors the handbook that have been given right here with the cyber web cd and then your achieved. you pick a memory card. And no it does now no longer value money.
