i dread to think about this

I,m a nurse and it is said to be 1 in every 500,000..It is very rare and mostly happens with a Cesarean section to deliver a baby due to being given a slightly lower douse of the sleeping gases to protect the unborn child..

The anestisia is flowing during the entire surgery, keeping them asleep, so they would not wake up until the anestisiologist stops the flow of the anestisia.

That probably happens alot more than you think, I am glad I didn't wake up during mine. That would not have been a good thing. =)

For an individual probably at least once. On the whole, I think that happens more than we hear about. It's happened to me once.

I'm not sure but it happens. Mostly the doctors either don't put you out enough or you're out cold for it.
