I think everyone around that age has self esteem issues. We all are alittle uncertain of ourselves at one point or another. As long as we have special people in our lives who help us to realize our own self-worth and are positive influences in our lives, we can overcome these issues.
I'd only be worried if she didn't get over these feelings, if she has it was probably just another part of growing up.

I do not think that this secret is a big deal. Everyone goes through this because of school and pressure. This is something that you can either share or not share. If it is a burden, then share it, any other person should understand because i can say personally that i have been there.

Its both. A lot of teens feel the same way cause we don't have a boyfriend. See, and feeling unwanted can lead to measures : cutting, ect. But you always want to watch out for your friends. And make sure you know they feel wanted. And that they can trust you with secrets. I know what I'm saying...trust me

why would you want to tell anyone? We have all felt this way at some time & is normal especially since you say she is now fine. What is your agenda? Keep it to yourself & forget about it.
I just read what kjs71 said..This is so true if this is the case. Sorry I didn't catch that earlier. If this special person is not appropriate for her, age or whatever, please tell someone! An adult who can help.

It's not such a big deal. Almost everyone feels like they're ugly or unwanted at a point in time in their life.

if someone tells u a secret in confidence or anythin which required them to trust you. you should not tell anyone else unless they were to harm themselves or others. Or else it shows that u have a very weak and dishonest character it also is very quick way of breaking up a friendship. so dont tell anyone no matter how mundane it might seem 2 u , 2 her it may mean alot.

it depends on the situation, its good that your friend is not thinking that anymore, and in the way you explained it. it seems to be no Hun it didn't matter, but in some cases it does and you will know if a secret needs to be told or not you will not need to ask.

If a young teenager is speaking these words, her parents need to be told, and immediately. This "someone very special" could be a child predator. Please act immediately.
