I would recommend:
"Dancing In The Moonlight"
either The King Harvest Or The Baha Men version would be appropriate.
Why? DITM has a fun, innocent, happy feel to it. It reminds us that no matter where we go, we all dance under the same moonlight! It includes everyone, and just makes you smile.

"You get what you give" by
The New Radicals
Has a wonderful message for those about to venture out into the big, scary world!

"Don't You Forget About Me" By
Simple Minds
This song is just amazing. It really fits for a graduation!

"Name"
By The Goo Goo Dolls
This is a sad one, about how hard life can be(supposedly, artist Johnny Rzeznik wrote it for his big sisters, who helped raised him after his parent's deaths ) One of my favorite songs.

"End Of The Line"
by The Traveling Wilburys
This would be PERFECT for graduation! let everyone know it'll be alright! Life is beautiful-don't forget that.

"Thanks for the memories"
by 'All At Once'
A lesser known band, so not many people have it. This one is simply beautiful. So harmonic and lovely. Will work wonderfully for graduation.

"Graduation Day"
by Isaac Figgs
Has a different tone than other graduation songs-almost heartbreaking, but so very pretty. Has some funny/cute parts. It's hard to explain-I like it.

"Fly Away From Here(Graduation Day)"
by Dropline
Encouraging song, beautifully done.

I hope you have wonderful time at your graduation,
and good luck and god bless with whatever you want to do in life!

I'm not sure who the artist of this song is but everytime someone mentions it I get it stuck in my head. High School Never Ends... I think it may be by Bowling for Soup but I'm not sure. That's the only thing I could think of possibly. Rascal Flatts life is a highway.. that's a really good song.. This song has a good lesson to kids.. How do you like me now? By Toby Keith, and Tequilla makes your clothes fall off by Alan Jackson, or another country song is by Tim McGraw, live like you were dying.. I know it's a sad song but it tells you that your life can change in an instant and God Bless the Broken Road by Rascal Flatts is nice. Probably not looking for country songs but there good songs.

The Flaming Lips - Do You Realize.

This is a very evocative and emotional song that suits graduation events without explicitly referring to the event or imminent departure of the student body in a cheesy and trite way.

i know one... i think the title is Thank You.. but it's not really famous coz i think someone from around here composed it. I don't even think it's on Limewire. anyway here's the lyrics:

we hardly share a glance
to meet and know each other
now the time is up
the band is packing up
we'll find another chance
to meet again together
and fill each other's cup
i fell like breaking up

it's this time that almost always makes me cry
before we say goodbye
i need to let you know, i love you

Chorus:
thank you for playing my music
thank you for singing my song
thank you for sharing the moment
coz with you i feel i really belong
thank you for keeping me company
thank you for being my friend
and if our paths will cross somewhere, somewhere
i'd like to sing this song again
-----------------------------------------------

i'm sorry that's all i can remember.. better yet why don't ask the students to compose their grad song? whichever is the best will be picked for the official graduation song.. that's how we did it in our school.

I didn't look through all the answers so I'm not sure if this one was already mentioned, but what about Swing Life Away by Rise Against? The lyrics are great.
