I cancelled out my membership to a website and they said they could give me a pro-rated refund, so that's what I did. It was a three month membership but I think I cancelled it after only a month and a few days. What does this refund mean and will it show up on my credit card statement eventually?

It was a 19.99 dollar fee for three months, if that helps as to how much money I would get back.

Pro-rated means that they'd refund the amount for the time after you cancelled. Depending on how you count, that could be almost 2/3 back (if they do it by day) or 1/3 back (if they do it by whole months since you were into the second month when you cancelled), or somewhere in between, or less if they have some other policy for calculating refunds.

It might or might not eventually show up on your credit card statement if that's how you paid originally, or they might send you a check in the mail.
