When you learn to spell 'dating' properly. Most people this day 'N' age start dating whenever, though I don't agree with that. I think that the old, "you can date when your 16" rule, is still the best way to go. I know that a lot of people this day 'N' age feel they are old enough to date, even though they're like, 12 or even younger. But in reality, 'old enough', means mature enough, and if you can't understand why the '16 rule' even existed, then your not mature enough. And you shouldn't be dating. I mean, a twelve-year-old boy sure as heck isn't mature enough to date. And twelve-year-old girl may be, but it's still highly unlikely. A fourteen-year-old boy, like almost every male out there, is only after one thing. A fourteen-year-old female, well heck, if a nine-year-old is having sex then what about a fourteen-year-old?

People date way too young these days, and that leads to teen pregnancy and STD's being past along like I don't know what! So I'd say 16 is a good age to start dating.

well im not sure what age you are now , but i think its better wait til the right guy or girl to approach you instead you doing lal the work . and i thin its better start adating when youre are feelling aready to go out with sombody that you do really know the person first like become friends with instead rushing youre life to hurry up adate . so its better to wait til youre 18 so that be easiler to be a adault that age and you can choose what to do after you finished high school , get a job so youre parents wont treat you lalike a baby all the time.

There is no right or wrong age to start dating. I'd say around 14 and up.

Do your dating under parental guidance.
If you have good parents or guardians, discourse it with them, if they agree, you can start at any age.
The bulk of whatever problem you will encounter during dating would be on them, so don't let no stranger tell any different.
If you ask me I'd say, wait till you are an adult. And this may suck.

As a father would say," not till your 21". as a friend would say, "oh they are good looking why not ask them now."Only a true friend will tell you not to start dating till you are ready and feel comfortable talking to the opposite sex. now go have fun and dont be in a big rush to grow up, enjoy school and your friends. Do not let sex get in your the way of your education!

i don't know if there is an exact age, but it should start somewhere near jr. high. but you should check to see if you really like that person because i have heard about a lot of stupid relationships between my friends that were a waste of time
