power-wise, Manny Ramirez, but as an overall player and batter, Bay by far, he just gets no attention the small market Pirates...Bay can play the field as well as anyone, is a good bet for 30-35 HRs, 15-20 SB, .290-.330 BA, and at least 90-100 runs and/or RBI's every year...plus he doesnt whine, which is all Manny does, always saying he wants a trade, blah blah, he isnt a team player...Bay is only getting better and if the Pirates ever start winning or he goes to another team, watch out, he will explode

Yeah.. talk about ESPN giving no attention to the Pirates, they never even CONSIDER the Brewers, but Jason Bay is like a Matt Holiday, he gets on base and hits for average hes a good LF and can hit the long ball with men on. When Mannys career is done he will have 500+ HRs and 1600+ RBI's. Bay still has a loooooong way from accomplishing this feat, he will have to sock about 30 HRs/ year starting right now because hes 28 and really hasnt been unbelievable in that department, but as far as fielding and defense goes Jason Bay is statistically is a better fielder

Jason Bay. Manny is a horrible fielder and should be moved to the DH spot ASAP. He also has a crummy attitude, he always talks about moving out of Boston, but as soon as a team name is given he cries like a little baby and wants to stay. Bay is a pretty good fielder and is on the up swing of his career, he puts up better numbers then the year before and will soon be an elite player in the league.
Jason Bay all the way

No one knows Jason b/c he is on the Pirates. ESPN gives so much love to the Red Sox so Manny gets a lot of attention. I think Bay is better overall. Manny can't field at all and Jason can. Bay hits better for average and is better on the basepaths as well. Don't listen to the people who don't know who Bay is. In my opinion, Manny is overrated and overpayed.

Jason Bay, hands down. Younger, faster, can play D. If he played in a lineup like Boston's would probably put up numbers close to Manny's. Played hurt for a good part of last year and still put up good numbers, but fell off his SB's. If anything Manny is a better hitter for avg., but Bay is still getting better, and if LaRoche ever hits well enough for guys to actually pitch to Bay, his numbers should explode. For those who don't know who Jason Bay is, you will.

No evaluation. Manny's lifetime numbers are extra acceptable. Manny has performed 16 yrs to Bays 6 yrs. there'll be no Manny after Ortiz and Bay isn't a change. Yankee fan wishing him to stay contained in the NL.

Manny Ramirez.
His career and overall stats are better. Plus, he has won a world series, and i believe Jason Bay hasn't.

If you want to know who has had a better career, it is Manny hands down. However if i was picking one based on the present and future I would pick Bay.
