2 months, just not thick...both my babies are fine and slept through the night early

If you read the research on any pediatric website, you will see that peditricians advise against putting cereal in a bottle unless the baby has reflux. If the baby is old enough to take cereal, it is old enough to do it by spoon. The saying that it causes babies to sleep through the night is a myth. It is said just because the time people put cereal in a bottle usually coincides with the time babies start to sleep through the night.

I started when my baby was 5 months.

Putting cereal in bottles has been done for years-- it's fine regardless of what anyone says.

What I did was feed my baby sometimes w/ a spoon & other times I put it in the bottle.

It's not advised to put cereal in a baby's bottle.

It works quite well at five months feeding it to them on a spoon.

I dont think you should put cereal in your baby's bottle - I was a midwife in the UK - and I advise you not to.

I did it at 2 or 3 months, but they both got colicky, and it may have been why. My mother used to put a little karo syrup as well so as not to bind him up.
