abandonware help?

I downloaded Dark Sun 2: Wake of the Ravager.

Some of the maps just don't load, instead I'm looped back to where I started.

Is there any way in general to fix the files?

Be careful with "abandonware" as it's sometimes "virus-ware" and "Pirate-ware"

have you tried an emulator like vdms?
