The appropriate thing would be for them to excuse them selves from the table and then go to the restroom to blow their nose, however; if it is a sneeze you can't really expect it to be stopped. In some cases you have to modestly accept it. Coughing is also a reflex, but if someone is coughing too much, it would be wise for them not to go to a restaurant till feeling better.

It bothers me when people blow their nose while sitting at my table. I think it's gross and personally I would rather get up and blow my nose in the bathroom so that I can throw away the dirty tissue in the garbage and wash my hands afterwards.

YES!!!! Actually I hate when people blow their nose anywhere around other people. To me it's just like letting a big fart rip in front of other people. Bodily functions (spitting, farting, peeing, blowing noses, etc.) Should be done in private, not in front of other people, ESPECIALLY at a restaurant where other people are eating.

Why do no longer you attempt a advantageous museum to try this, or how approximately for the duration of the sermon at church? of direction, i've got blown my nostril at a eating place. enormously while eating warm and noticeably spiced meals! I hate while they only supply you the textile napkins too, i've got faith relatively undesirable approximately messing up the eating places linens. i think of each eating place could furnish paper napkins to boot. besides, i do no longer do it loud like an elephant, i've got heard that's no longer even reliable for you! it could blow your adenoids out. And that would desire to suck. I do a "girly" blow, LOL!!

It doesn't really bother me unless they sit there and blow forever. And what is this with everyone hating when people cough. Yeah it spreads germs, I understand, but its not like you have time to run to the bathroom to cough. As long as people cover their mouths you shouldn't be to bothered by it.

If they can do it quietly and discreetly, it's ok. Anything else should be done outside or the rest room. If they blow their nose because of a cold, why are you eating with them?

Not usually, unless it sounds gross or a big honkin' snotty sounding blow. Sometimes you just don't have time to get to the restroom or the door's locked. It also depends on how they handle it, like covering the nose and mouth, and then saying "excuse me" politely afterwards. I have weather allergies, and I try to do it as politely and quietly as possible.

Yes. It's poor manners. One should excuse themselves from the dining area before blowing his nose. I know I do.
