Proud Republican and I wish that all the Democrats (by their beliefs) were considered a "Choice" by their mothers.

Well, I started life as a pot smoking liberal (Seattle), Joined the Military, traveled the world, and woke up one day and decided I wanted the United States and world in general, to be better than when I was younger, and discovered I was a Republican. I became a free thinker, figured out that nobody had to make decisions for me and I was quite smart enough to do it on my own. Wanted less taxes (They take enough already) And that help for the poor should not extend to a lifetime and many generations of the same family. I liked President Reagan allot, and agreed with many of the things hes done. Now, Being a free thinker as I am, I have issues with some of the things some republicans have done, But the laundry list so far for the Democrats is longer. If some things in another party, being it the big two, or if even a third popped out with some great ideas, I could go differently. But right now, I am and will be for awhile a republican.
PS. I Agree with TheOnlyBeldin, so maybe that makes me a libertarian too, I like reading what I like, watching what I like, and sleeping with whom I like, so if the Libertarians put up a candidate with that platform, count me in! :)

Neither. Independent or as now called at least in Massachusetts "unenrolled".
I think it would be great if everyone was registered as an "Independent" because it would make all sides work so much harder for your vote.
Right now both sides already have "built in" voters that will BLINDLY vote just for the party even if the voter disagrees with their candidate. That is so wrong IMO.
Admittedly I lean more toward the Conservative side but I have voted both Dem and Repub as I vote for the Candidate NOT the Party.
Sometimes the Candidate uses the Party affiliation to help get elected when the candidate is just the opposite: IE President Bush(RINO) who ran as a Republican Conservative when he is the furthest thing from that. He is more like Ted Kennedy.
My choice for President in 2008 is TOM TANCREDO!

I'm independant and wish instead of argue about things that we could sit down and come up with a middle ground solution. Politicians are just so caught up with what they want when if we sat down we could make a middle ground that makes most peopl happy. So I vote for the people who are like this Barrack Obama is a good example and wishes we could do the same. Joe Lieberman was the same way as well. We need to get off of our butts and elect good people who are not so stuck on themselves that they will listen to other politions. I'm Anti-Howard Dean he won't go to a middle ground. Neither will John Mcain. I just don't want this country to go to waste because I'm a republican or I'm a democrat. We are all americans and should have our own beliefs not what one party says or another party says.

Yes, I am a republican or democrat. I want to be a republican or democrat because those are the 2 parties in America with the most power to elect and support their ideals.
The difference is, other parties can speak their ideas in public forums but have very little power in the legislative and administrative areas of government.
It's just better to be actively setting policy than it is to talk about it.
I'm not sure that I understood the exact point of your question but that's my answer.

Neither. I'm registered Green Party and work for the party.
I believe neither the Dems or Repubs have a clue.
The Repubs are short-sighted and xenophobic for the most part, the Dems will promise anything, claim to care about the environment and then go on to sacrifice important issues that are at the very foundation of our survival on this planet so they can put another 50¢ in a voters pocket.
The only difference is that Repubs vote for greater access for third parties, thinking they'll take away votes from Dems- not any great love of democracy; Dems refuse to open up democracy out of fear they'll have votes taken away, votes they think they OWN.
Don't you agree that America deserves a choice . . . a choice of more than two?

I will always vote for the party that I see seems fit for the job. I am for the most part very Republican. Many Republicans stand up for the very roots of our country; especially liberty and justice for all. George W. Bush has liberated two countries in office!
How many people have I heard say, in commenting on the Holocaust, "Why didnt we come sooner?" Our country was practicing a strategy called isolationism at the time. Isolationism is when a country takes money out of the military and puts it into other things for the good of itself. Also, when practicing isolationism a country avoids making alliances or getting involved in wars. The only way the country will get involved is out of defense, hence Pearl Harbor and our initial declaration of war.
Now, we live in a time where our President has declared a war on Terrorism. He has started out his war by liberating two countries from very evil conspiring men.
One of which was Suddam Hussien, a thorn in his country's side for too long (and the world's). Hussien, is a man who has killed more than two hundred thousand of his own people unjustly. He is a man who allowed his military to keep control by harrassing families, raping women, and using people as "examples", to be killed in unspeakable ways. A man who had human-sized blenders to kill people with. (Its exactly what it sounds like)
I am tired of the ignorance of this generation when it comes to what is happening in the world. You look to the mostly lying assumption making media and YouTube for answers. At least give CSPAN a chance. It has actual uncut content from our political leaders. Sift through these falsehoods and come to terms where you stand. Dont take the word of someone who is following the anti-Bush trend. Learn for yourself where you stand or you are just as ignorant as our country was when the Holocaust occured.

Independent...I think party politics is finally destroying this country. There is no room for free thought or being strong in your own decisions or convictions...it has come down to gang voting. It's all about power and money, which are the two prime ingredients for corruption on both sides.

None of the above, I am an independent voter! I use my brain to vote for the most qualified person for the job, even if they are not the most popular person. To many politics are not based on principles only on money, but if you ask me you should look at a persons principles and work ethnic before you look at their pocket book!

In my opinion, the difference between a Democrat and a Republican is this:
Democrats: People who care about causes to help others EVEN if it means raising taxes to give the little guy a level playing field.
Republicans: People who care about themselves and money and power.
I'm a VERY liberal Democrat who cares about doing right by others, as Christ asked us to do: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto YOU."
