You won't sweat less as the sweat glands are still there, but it will help in the long run as it will evaporate quicker, the smell won't be an issue since there is nothing to keep the sweat there and the itching really isn't an issue except for the first time. I don't do well with deoderants as I break out, so I have been shaving for like 15 years. I don't have much hair to begin with, but getting rid of all of it really helps, especially on the days when I don't use deoderant, since some guys don't have to use it every day when there is no hair to keep the sweat there.

This is also true for crotch hair. If you shave it off, or at least part of it, you will reduce the amount of smell and bacteria in that area. The itching again is only an issue the first time or two, but it is definitely worth it. Plus I've been told it makes it look bigger too!

No. Sweating comes from the sweat glands/pores in your armpits, and cutting off the hair will not change the amount of sweat. Use antiperspirant to sweat less. Shaved pits get very irritated from the rubbing of skin on skin, so I wouldn't advise it.

Some of the answers ur getting are bogus!!...I am a man and shave under my arms because alot of deodorants make me itch. It will not make you sweat less just make you have less BO. The BO comes from the bacteria that lives in your armpit hairs

Sweat less? No.

Smell less? Yes.

Itch growing in? Yes

Look a little odd? Yes.

My suggestion - do what I do. Keep it clipped to around 1/2". Doesn't look odd, doesn't itch, gets 90% of the smell reduction.

It won't make you sweat any less but the sweat will evaporate quicker and easier.

no....but it may minimize the odor, cuz bacteria thrive in armpits = thus the odor. Since you are a guy tho - I would recommend a different anti-persperant.
