Colonel Harland Sanders?

Question

Has anyone on here ever eaten KFC personally fried by him? If so, what was your experience like meeting him and what not and how was the Chicken comparable to now a days? I'm, just curious to get a better idea of what he may have been like in real life. Even relatives of him on the site are welcome to answer.

Oh, and please, no jokes or wise crack insulting answers. Thank You again.

I'm not looking for second and third hand accounts if that's what you're thinking (such as websites and wikipedia). I'm aware he died in 1980 of Cancer.

The man that portrayed the Colonel was really a actor.At least that was what I was told .I did however meet that man when I was very little.He made a appearance at the opening of our KFC.But we are talking years ago! Early 70s.To be honest if this "was" really him,I didn't think he was too smart.But he didn't have to be with a recipe like he had.LOL

Sorry, no. But the first KFC is in CORBIN, not Harlan. I've been there every year for the past 10 on the way to our family reunion. It's a tradition. Anyway, I don't know anyone who ever knew Col Sanders or his wife Claudia (who has a restaurant in her name in Shelby Co. KY and the food is WAY better...)

I don't know if Col. Sanders ever personally fried any chicken in the original Kentucky Fried Chicken in Corbin, Ky. (Dave Thomas, later the owner of Wendy's, once worked for him.)Probably where his genius lay was in franchising.

I don't know how many people may have met him.

I've been to the original KFC in Harlan KY where they have a small museum. it's right off I-75
