It's "possible" - depends on how well YOU can judge the car first, and not spend more than you will make fixing it if something is major wrong with it. I've tried it ( and not made anything ), others have, and had marginal success . One of the more rewarding, but difficult, ways is to PART OUT the vehicle. If you get a wrecked Accura, or 4x4 truck, you can make MORE off the parts than you can off the whole car ( people will look for parts to fix theirs, than buy a wrecked one, and have no place to store it that the police, neighbors, etc. won't object to. ). Having the SPACE to do that is all-important, though. All depends on your geographic and monetary circumstances. Good luck, many have tried, and failed, to make money doing this.

yes it is ,i own a repair shop ,and i always have something for sale, you can buy cheap cars and do minor repairs to them and re-sale them try to stay with open titles if possible this will keep you from having to tag every one of them, because your only allowed so many each year, last year i sold around 40 cars doing this, but i have an advantage also a lot of people come to me to buy their vehicles when they need fast money, and i also buy from back row of use car lots, they will sell you 5 or 6 cars for a thousand bucks for all of them just to get rid of them, and that's for all of them usually you can make your money back with one good sale, and the rest are yours to make clear profit on,once you get started doing this it isn't a bad thing to get in to,and stay in to,but don't ever sell completely out of cars, always have another one ready as soon as you sell one, other wise you have to start over again, its like keeping the wheel turning so to speak, but yes there is real good money to be made from just doing it on the side, you don't have to have a license to do this, good luck with it i hope this helps.

Sure it is. People do it everyday. Just look at all the used car places. The trick is to get the cars cheaply. Auctions are the best place, unless you know a friend who is trying to get rid of a car.
Be careful, the cost of the car, plus the repair, can get you into the loss column quickly.

Of course you can ,I suggest that you buy cars suitable for first time buyers, cheap to run ,tax and insure, also medium size family cars, steer clear of sports/hot hatches, and don't buy a car just because you want it remember you're buying to sell, don't do dodgy repairs as it will only come back and bite you,and finally don't over price, the name of the game is to keep you "stock" moving, check out parkers.co.uk and car survey.org for reviews etc.:0)

If you know what your doing. Its how secondhand car dealerships making a living.
The key is being able to judge a cars value and its mechanical defects perfectly and then purchase it for a reduced figure.
You only need to buy one car for too much, or have one car you cant shift to loose all your profits though.
