Einstein was a genius of his time. Someone said that we are smarter than him nowadays since we know more than him. True in some way if you regard smart as being very knowledgeable. But lets face it. in einstein's time, all the theories he developed were not known by anyone else. Thus if he had developed them, he was really great intellectually. And its written that he worked on the formulas and theories first and then had them checked with experiments. I mean einstein was a genius as he could have thought of complex problems concerning his theories and develop perfect solutions and equations that give pinpoint accuracy today in industry and space research. But ur question asked if we can become smart like him. Maybe!! But can u devise theories as he did?? However it should be noted that intelligence can also measure music and arts. For that i think people may regard themselves as smart enough but the impact einstein has caused on science makes him one of the most important man of science. So if u can revolutionise music and arts in the same manner he did in science, then may b considered as smart as einstein hopefully :)

Einstein was not so smart. He was just very smart in a specific area.

People have intelligence in specific areas, music, math, language. Most of this is coincidence or luck, the way the brain grows and self-organizes. Some intelligence can be trained by doing exercises that "flex your mental muscle" as some would say.

But the kind of genius that people like Einsein and Mozart had is born not made.

Yes, just find a field of knowledge that interests you and study like crazy at it. Eventually you'll know a ton about the subject. That's what I did with physics. I'm no Albert Einstein, but I'm pretty smart.
