Press and hold down "Alt" button then press the corresponding "Number" on the Numbers Keypad, Release "Alt" button and the Symbol will appear. To get these Symbols:

for AIM to make the hearts press hold Alt and hold 3 on the far side of the keyboard then let go of Alt

just without the space

The ♥ is alt 3 on your numeric keypad. Try alt 1, 2,3, etc. for ☺ ☻ ♥ . and you can also make ♪ by hitting alt 13, and you get ♫ with alt 14. Hey, someone had to teach me.

♥wow it worked,you have to press alt and then the number 3 on your keyboard and hold it,when you let go,there it is.But for me it works only on the NumLock thing part of your keyboard and not the line of numbers on top of all the letters.Weird.♥
