Yes it can. How much it affects them depends on how much salt you add as well as the type of plant. Fine leafed plants are generally more affected by salt then large leafed plants. Those plants with thick leaves or that have shiny harder leaves are less affected by the salt. You can usually get away with a small amount of salt with no problems, but check your specific type of plant to be sure.

Yes. Salt will kill or inhibit plant growth in tanks. Unless they are salt resistant plants. NO plants for aquariums should have salt.

Adding salt interfears with the CO2 transfer. Which explain why animal spots appear so rapidly in the grass. Urine is full of salts killing plants.

Yes of course they can. lol all living things can be affected by salt. But some plants are generally more tolerant to salt. plants like anchor plants which are really thin. Bamboo is really resistant to salt but once again everything can be affected its just that some things are more resistant.

Yes it could. When you are buying live plants for a salt water tank you need to make sure they can survive in that kind of environment. You wouldn't put a freshwater fish in a salt water tank would you? Same concept.

No, aquarium plants are generally unaffected by the addition of salt. However, before adding salt, ensure that your fish like to live in that type of water :)

Technically yes, depends on the plants. If they are salt water plants it shouldn't matter. If they are other plants they will start osmosis.
