yeah, my 2 friends did the spray tanning thing last year...it was a disaster, i can`t even tell u...the best way to describe them is that they looked like mutant pumpkins!!! as far as the airbrush thing, i don`t know...but another friend of mine uses self-tanners & she swears by them!!! she doesn`t look orange at all!!! she uses jergens natural glow, banana boat sundial, & l`oreal sublime glow...& u can buy them at cvs, walmart, target, etc...if u decide to use a self-tanner, make sure to exfoliate well & apply the lotion sparingly around ankles, knees, wrists & elbows, & to wash your hands thoroughly after putting it on...u don`t want brown palms!!! hope this helps!!!

Unfortunately, having used many different brands over the years since the 1960's to the present, I have found that they all tend to take on an orange or yellowy hue after a while. This is due to the beta carotine in them, derived from carrots. You might be a little less orange if you go with a bronzer but be careful not to go too dark, especially where you are fair skinned. Start out any of these products on the light tone and with an easy touch to start with , then if you don't like it ,it is easier to wash off. Some have a rather strong odor to them , that can get sickening, and they do come off on your clothes when you perspire a lot. So as soon as you take your clothes off in the evening, spray the with stain remover and throw in the wash and check to see if it all came out, before putting in the dryer or you will set the stain permanently. Even the ones that say they aren't orange or smelly usually are. Just to varying degrees. Some have a more pleasant smell than others. There is one I have used from time to time, it was either Ban de Solei ,or Neutrogena , that was a tanning lotion with only a 4spf ,but it also had a built in tanner so you tanned as you tanned. It is great if your not one to be in the sun for too long, and if you are in the sun for 15 minutes , you will start to get a little tan as well. But being skin cancer free, is better than the glory of a tan or the agony of a burn, to get the tan. I got severely burned several times as a kid, because we didn't use to worry about the sun, just slathered on the noxema creme when we got one. Then went back out in the sun. Now I have skin rashes, and have had a couple of spots removed. So I have to keep watch. I would say, put on an spf 8 tanning lotion and go out til you see a slight change in color, even if it is barely noticable. Everyone should be exposed to at least 20 minutes of sunshine a day to get the proper amount of Vitamin D absorbed into your body. It is healthy. With a sunblock ,you may not burn at all, but the Vitamin D isn't getting through either. So I'd use the spf8 and stay out in the sun for no more than 20 minutes and then if your going to be out , put on a higher spf sunblock in the same brand and go back out. That way you get a little color and Vitamin D at a time, and are protected from the damaging rays of the sun. Just be faithful with it and have fun, in the outdoors.

Hey I'm kinda in the same boat as you. I'm a redhead which means pale skin and loads of freckles laying out is not an option for me so I do the spray tan. I would recommend that you get a airbrush tan I recently started using the airbrush instead of spray tan and it looks 10 times better and alot more natural and with the airbrush you wont get the streaks that come with spray on. :)

sluggish enhance tans, alongside with Nivea's, are super once you're after a extra sunlight-kissed look as unfavorable to a deep tan. they gained't get messy and are confusing to get incorrect. in simple terms be conscious it such as you may a moisturiser throughout your physique. it will get darker and darker each and every day/couple of days you be conscious it. And interior of reason nicely priced. Wash-off stuff is super for in case you basically choose to look tanned for an experience, and are careful of patchiness. in spite of the reality that it has the same concern to be conscious as a common tan, in case you do do it incorrect.. you may constantly wash it off and start up back :) Boots No 7 do a reliable, particularly priced one that still has some shimmer added in once you're into that form of element :) for ideal self tan, i won't propose St Tropez sufficient. this is slightly extra costly, yet you may extremely frequently discover it on sale in chemists, supermarkets and shops alike. be confident to exfoliate formerly. i exploit a mitt to be conscious yet there are different strategies. you may desire to apply your hand and in simple terms scrub relatively complicated later on... reliable success with that nonetheless! Moisturise moisturise moisturise! shop it looking advantageous and wholesome. avert making use of fake tan products on your face, use the sluggish enhance tan stuff on your face to make it tournament your physique color. Get help from a pal or relative to be conscious fake tan once you're a sprint careful, and shop checking interior the replicate as you be conscious. have exciting :)
