Absolutely. I have voted Democrat in the past, but then I saw the light. The liberals are not the party they used to be.

When you consider that even as far back as the American Civil War, the liberal left would rather have seen the union divided and the slaves remain enslaved than support a Republican president. Is it any wonder that they are what they are? Lincoln was a Republican and was hated.
Pelosi? Went to Syria as what an envoy to Rice? Pelosi is confused. It's not her job, nor is it any of the senators (mostly democrats, with a few wayward republicans) to go and try and negotiate peace. It's clear they learned nothing from England's Neville Chamberlain at the outset of WW II.
So, at the risk of coming off as a racist. Why on earth would a black American vote democrat? Knowing that the DNC opposed immancipation and that the founding members of the KKK were all democrats, I should think they'd run as far and as fast from that organization as humanly possible. And please, don't try and sell me on the civil rights movememnt of the 1960s. The democrats with their "Social Programs" only managed to reconstitute slavery in the form of total and absolute dependency on the federal government. Just look at Welfare. They measure the success of the program by seeing how many they can get signed up. When in fact, the success of such a program SHOULD be measured by how many you can get off the system and functioning independent of government assistance. Give them a fish and they eat for a day, teach them to fish and they eat for a lifetime. The democrats are a perverse lot and very much like spoiled children.

I'm sure there are a lot of people who believe the same. I personally have always been conservative and I don't think that will ever change. Pelosi, by going off without the go-ahead from the White House, was showing that she had her best interests at heart - not America's. That's a trait that a lot of people in our country have been showing lately - liberal and conservative alike. I'm worried about the '08 election. It seems like you can't trust anyone anymore.

The democratic party went to hell in the early 70's with the Unions, welfare and such. They have sold out America and think they represent the majority, which they do not. Unless and until Americans take the country back, we will have issues. The party had some good ideas and great people, until they went weird with all this " big brother" business and that we the voters, didn't know how to take care of ourselves.

They need a wake up call cause the middle of the road voters, will elect the next President.

Pelosi was sent BY the White House, and then attacked for doing so...BY THE WHITE HOUSE... politics is a dirty business and unless you look at both sides from every angle you will never even get close to knowing what "reality" is. There were Republicans on the tour that Pelosi led to Syria, but it seems like a lot of people are conveniently ignoring that. I'm a middle of the road guy - I don't believe the extremists of either side - they are too far one wing to ever fly in a straight line.

The majority of Democrats do not hold sway with the view of Liberals on this site. This site is dominated by radical Liberals, and if you analyze their propaganda, most of it will not pass Constitutional muster.

The Democrats have been telling America, for years, they don't want the radical left in power. Unfortunately, the November election put Pelosi on top. I think the majority of Americans were sleeping, frankly.

Thank goodness for the two independents, is all I can say.

And the neocons didn't permit the Taliban into Texas for meetings? Didn't they also let the Bin Ladens fly home after 9/11 (http://select.nytimes.com/gst/abstract.html?res=F60F14F63F590C738FDDA00894D9404482)? Didn't Rumsfeld shake Saddams hand after a 'business' deal (chemical weapons sales: http://blogs.venturacountystar.com/vcs/dennert/archives/rumsfeld_saddam.jpg)?

I think the presidency has been hijacked by a rogue president, who stands for himself, his money & his business partners and nobody else.

But it was OK for Republicans to converse with the Syrian president?

Nice bit of hypocrisy there.
