If the coolant leak is between the metal tube connection and the plastic intake manifold, sorry but the only repair is to replace the manifold. If you still have the original intake manifold with the plastic coolant passage behind the alternator, you should replace it anyways, with the updated aluminum crossover tube version. Go to your local Ford dealer and ask for part number F8AZ-9424-AAA for $377.85US. I know it's a bit pricey, but this kit includes EVERYTHING needed including the updated manifold itself with gaskets, and the modified alternator bracket required for the installation. Hope this helps.

I just did this, be carful if you pull the brass nipple out of the plastic manifold you will have to buy a $300 replacemtent manifold, other then that just get a pair of pliers to squeeze the clamps till they can be slided back, then carfuly cut the rubber away from the nipples, buy a new molded hose and replace. do both even if only one is leaking.

if its leaking at the fitting at the passengers rear of the intake, you may have to replace the manifold. these are bad about the pressed in heater hose fitting leaking where it goes into the plastic. otherwise if this is not the case replace the hose and clamps, use worm clamps as the spring clamps that come on them also have leaking problems. as a side note you probably will need to remove the coils and spark plugs in that area and clean the coolant from the coils and plug holes or a msifire will result.

i own a repair shop, and you should be able to just tighten this one up and stop it from leaking, the hose shouldn't be bad on it yet,but if it is you,ll have to replace the whole thing on it but try tightening it up first, that may take care of it and also make sure its not the intake manifold that's leaking on it,good luck i hope this helps.

is the hose, its self leaking or the fitting that goes into the manifold? its probably the hose... simply loosen the clamp... & cut an inch or 2 off.. slide it back on & re clamp it..... or follow it to the firewall, take that clamp off.. pull the hose off & go buy a new hose..

You don't. It leaks because it's deteriorated. And if it is, all of the rest of the hoses are probably the same way. Replace all of the heater and radiator hoses.

IS IT THE HOSE OR THE CONNECTION THAT IS LEAKING? IF THE HOSE, JUST REPLACE IT. IF THE CONNECTION AT THE MANIFOLD IS LEAKING, YOU CAN TRY "J.B. WELD". IT IS REALLY A GREAT PRODUCT, I HAVE DONE SOME AMAZING THINGS WITH IT, IT DOES REQUIRE TIME AND PATIENCE,
