I have a new little baby cousin today. My cousin just had a healthy baby boy this morning.
There are so many things in my life to be thankful for.

This Empty-Nesting Single Retiree became an Empty-Nester 6 months ago -- and what a BLESSING That is -- especially after the toxicity of TEENAGERs and young Adults around me!
I've been able to START taking care of the ONE person who was FORGOTTEN over all these years ... the Long Term Single Parent and one who was the ONLY income in the home ... ME! I got to relax, I decided to expand my horizons (and remain active in mind and body) by going BACK to College (yep! This Retiree with UGrad and Grad Degrees went back and is learning things that were never around when she earned her original degrees -- INCLUDING such courses as Website Design and Digital Photography!) And ... most importantly -- I am ENJOYING These courses tremendously! (Plus -- All A's! -- so if any one younger complains -- how about taking it from someone much older -- apply yourself and LISTEN .. and yes, you too can have the grades!)
I'm also ALIVE and Breathing -- especially since that ex (from approximately a decade and half ago) Burglarized my home in August 2006.
(By the way -- remember the EXCITEMENT of NEW Babies in life ... just remember ... they DO eventually become TEENAGERS! Yes, that difficult stage of attitudes, raging hormones and problem behaviors .... where the REAL UGH! is!)

We were just looking at birth rate for Philippines and it is just above the world average which did surprise me.
