hi there, its quite easy to find the live simply use an electrical probe and pop ignition on and in reverse then probe the wires on the switch which ever lights up is the live, as to the comments about warranty i severly doubt that fitting such an item would invalidate any warranty, there is no reason why is should as something that all manufacturers have kept quiet is that since 2005 the law changed to say that car and vehicle manufacturers cannot say that using non branded i.e. ford citroen mercedes etc parts will invalidate the warranty of the vehicle, besides a parking sensor is not either a branded or safety critical component its classes as an enhancement, i work for Mercedes Benz training and the warranty rules are a lot more stringent than ford but none of the dealers have ever had any problems with mercedes warranty on a vehicle that has had an after market component fitted, the warranty applies to major components and any warranty affecting the reversing sensor is an issue with the company that manufactuers the sensor.

Hope that helped a bit

Just get a voltmeter, file the positive lead to a needle point and see which wire to the socket has 12 volts when you light up the backup lights. Don't worry about these moron yahoo point trolls who say go to the dealer for everything.

Dont self fit on this age of car as it might / will invalidate the warrenty ( trust me on this ) , get Ford to do the work , that way any probs and it will still be coverd . If they wont do it sell the sensors and get your money back .

*either get a manual from ebay or halfords or find a friend who knows what he/she is doing.if you start messing you could end up with a flash back on the wiring and need the whole car re-wiring.
