ok, since some of you didn't get the joke...the 'against my religion' line was a joke...
and to the girl who thinks i'm egotistical and self centered, i say...i don't care if the guy is short...you can have him, and all the rest of them...i personally won't entertain the thought of going that route...
if you like the idea of being short as i am, and still date someone that is shorter than you, more power to you...it doesn't make me self centered if i like guys to be taller than me, i just don't like short guys...
the question was, 'why do some of them get utterly pissed at girls when they decline dating them for those reasons? which by the way, you did not answer...
so, if my question was dumb a] you are the one who answered it sweetie, b] don't hate just because someone expresses their personal choice...

It's called the "Short Man Syndrome." They're very self-conscious and feel really put down when they're rejected as they can't do anything about it. Oh, well...

Someone being too short is not against ANYONE'S religion which I feel makes you full of it. How about stop being so self centered and give a nice guy a chance? That's my answer to your dumb question.

Well they're probably just insulted. I don't go out with guys who are shorter than my either but I don't feel the need to tell them that it's because of their height.
You don't have to give a reason, just say no. If they ask why just say that they're not your type. If they ask what you mean just tell them to take a hint.
