People make fun of me for being a virgin, and I'm only 16! As in to young to legally have sex. But I plan on being a virgin forever, which is met with laughter and insults. Now tell me, why is virginity treated like something you should lose immediately?

My husband was a virgin when we met, and he was 26. It's very special to me that I'm the only woman he has ever been with. (And he is plenty virile, believe me!)

Don't let peer pressure force you into something you are not comfortable with. There is absolutely nothing wrong with saving yourself for the one true love of your life, the woman you will marry. High school kids are just too immature to see beyond instant gratification. They will regret it later, when you are the only one with no STDs, no unwanted babies, and a truly committed relationship instead of a series of empty one-night stands. If you don't marry, then staying a virgin forever is your choice, nobody else's.

Lets see whos laughing when we see who has gental warts or Aids? Well I think you should stay a virgin until your married then have it. I cant wait to have sex but I dont want to do it before marriage. I dont want any STDs ya know wanting to have sex isnt bad and having it isnt bad either well after your married it isnt bad. people of these days has destorted sex as a forbidden practice and that it should be seen for enjoyment but thats not true. sex is good if you do it within marriage. so dont go around giving people your virginity. so once your married lose you virginity not having your virginity is not a bad thing its just how you lose it thats bad and who you lose it to so save your sperm for your wife ok. Ps you perverts who are saying this Christian is a hypocrite back off because their is nothing wrong about saying what I said since I spoke of it in a mature manner! Stop treating sex like a bad thing its just outside of marriage its a bad thing! Jesus Loves and Adores!

You'll change your mind next year, and will smile at your own ideas. :)
I DON'T LAUGH at you for being a virgin at 16 - it is normal and healthy. My respects.
Some girls also make it a priority to become women before some particular age. It happened to me at 19, and I am not sorry I didn't try it at 16 like one of my friends.

Men want to show themselves as tough guys, others tease them, they tease you, it is somehow considered to be juvenile to remain a virgin for a long time. Stupid, not clever at all.

b/c men feel like they need to show how manly and virile they are by doing this act that procreates. although most dont want children so young. i plan on being a virgin forever too, im almost 17 and a girl. girls like me dont like boys who always have to prove something. you are more brave for doing what you want instead of what they want. but it is pretty brave to risk it with girls that are wiling to have sex so young.

Oh My God! GET THIS! I'm a virgin too! i really dont care what people think. ignore the insults. its cool because then you can give it up to the person you wanna spend the rest of your life with. and plus then people know you dont have any STD's. which is really cool too:D so cheer up now. and yell out "IM PROUD TO BE A VIRGIN AND DON'T CARE WHAT YOU THINK!!"

Cause ti is normal a 16 year old boy to lose his virginity around this time. I was made fun of cause I didn,t lose mine to 17. It is considered a sign of being a loser not being able to get laid.

FOREVER?

that's a bit odd, but other than that, it's GOOD to stay a virgin before marrige; it's the best thing to do. immature people think it's "cool" to have sex at a young age, when in reality it's slutty. [excuse the word slutty =D]

it is why mom and dad ought to coach doing islmic discussions at homestead. i'd say to her that she ought to tell different youthful ladies approximately this in islamic seminars. and she or he ought to inspire youthful muslim ladies to truly attempt and learn their faith so they dont finally end up believing somethign out of context
