I watched a video once of a guy removing a dent on a car by rubbing a piece of "dry ice" on it. Supposedly the metal contracts enough to pop the dent out. He was holding the piece of ice with gloves, I haven't got a clue where you get the stuff, might be worth a try. Another thought is those dent doctor guys that do auto work, they have these rods that they use to get inside tight spaces to push dents out.

Small dents won't "pop".
If they can be reached from the inside, sometimes they can be worked out. Not always possible. If you're going to repaint, just fill them.

Get the suction cup ding kit. Local auto supply stores carry them here, not sure about where you are. It'll pull out small crap, and not even mess up the paint. And you can use it over and over.
