Few people are stupid, but many are uneducated. Be clear on the difference.

Unless the brain is damaged at birth the persons mind can soak up all the information it gets...This is called intelligence.
Stupidity on the other hand is completely different.
Stupidity comes from ignorance.
A pompous person with a PhD most of the time will say and do stupid things more often than someone who never had the opportunity for an education. other than that they come from the stupid patch in the depths of the Atlantic ocean where they are harvested by underwater martians who want to infect our society with dingbats.

Stupid is subjective, as is tolerance, patience, and understanding. Everyone has stupid moments in their lives. Moments can be much longer for some than others. I hope those who were 'blessed' with my stupid periods were able to recover. Unfortunately, I'm not sure we are ever immune from relapse either.
As for me... I've had MANY such episodes. I recall thinking, “I can't believe I did that! I KNOW I'm smarter then that,” even though evidence pointed to the contrary.
So in answer to your question, I came from Palo Alto, California.

Stupid people come from right wing Republican parents. Who also came from stupid right wing Republican parents. It's a never ending cycle.

your mother...nah, its all in the gene pool, and the way people are brought up, if the gene pool is average, and they are brought up stupid, it goes downhill from there, if the gene pool is average and they are taught and brought up to be more intelligent the brains will follow suit in genetics.
