I wanted to install exhaust on a V6 2005 tiburon. What are the disadvantages of not adding aftermarket headers if I added an exhaust system to my car??

in reality there is no gain or loss installing aftermarket exhaust. All you gain is a louder exhaust note. and all you lose is money in your pocket.

I don't know about the loss of horsepower or mileage - i can't see why you would loose anything, but be very careful about installing headers. they can be a nightmare!!! I put aftermarket headers on my 1990 ford, and have had nothing but trouble with a header leak that still hasn't gone away. I had the system professionally installed, and since, have taken it apart twice to put in new gaskets, but they just keep blowing out!!!!!!!!

None really It still offers less restriction to the engine. Just not as much. But your really not going to gain much on a V6.

unless the new-one has a restriction, there is not increase or decrease.
