does any one else think that pride is over rated? i mean foolish pride like those english soilders that were kidnapped by the iranies, they could have been foolish in the name of 'pride' and incisted that they were innocent (wich they were) but they did what they had to do to save there own skins.
peronally i feel that foolish pride can be a downfall of a society

a bad example of pride is the muslims who are offended by everything and think they need to protest about everything like those funny cartoons

You're right the muslim thing is "a bad example". They don't get insulted out of self-pride but because they seem to fear God.
You're obviously not too proud to reveal the drivel in your mind!
and those 15 sailors (not "soilders" as you put it) should have had pride in their uniform, their country and their fellow professionals - or they should not accept the Queen's shilling.

Hey Brightly : you know nothing about Islam religion , if you think protesting against cartoon images of Muhammad (pbuh) has something to do with pride ..most Muslims gladly give up their lives for their religion..and they do .. that is not pride ,that is love, strong belief ,a way of life ..it has nothing to do with pride .. read up on it .then you will know better..

I don't know about you but pride is needed by everyone to some extent.
There are things that I will NOT do or say, because of I have way.... too much pride to stoop that low
