Seatbelts save lives. I lost a friend Nico in a car accident two years ago. I cannot tell you how many times I wish he had buckled up that night. I also lost a classmate, Chris, in the same accident. Every day I had to go to English class and see Chris's empty seat. My high school was in terrible mourning for months. It was the hardest year of my life. There are many people in this world whose loved ones died in car accidents because they weren't wearing a seatbelt. If you don't wear your seatbelt, you risk getting a ticket, breaking your neck in an accident, getting thrown through the windshield, paralysis, memory loss, concussions, and death. Think twice before driving off without a seatbelt.

My cousin was in a roll-over accident and wasn't wearing a seat belt.
The thing that saved his life was the fact that he wasn't wearing a seat belt.
The vehicle was smashed completely on his side, and he was flung to the other. He ended up with a broken leg, which I'd take over death.
This is a rare occurance though.
This country is bent on safety...though it's a free country and we SHOULD be able to decide whether or not we wear a seat belt, they make laws with bg fines for not wearing them.

Alot of deaths or injuries would not be caused if a oerson wears a seatbelt. If a seatbelt is not a big deal the wouldn't be made in every car.

They make a big deal about it because a seat belt is a life saving device. If you get into an accident and aren't wearing the shoulder part and the lap part you could be throw from your vehicle and badly injured or even killed. So "click it or ticket" or die.

I can only tell you this: I didn't wear one either until I was injured in a wreck. I wouldn't have been hurt had I been wearing my seat belt. I'm not preaching to you. Nobody could convince me either until it happened to me.

Seat belts save lives...just look at the Governor of New Jersey...he suffered severe injuries because he didn't wear one the other day.

I've seen a three year old girl laying on the hood of her daddy's pick up- Dead- her blood spilling all over the place because he didn't think a 3 mile drive was big enough reason to buckle her in. If you want to risk your own life, then go for it. I don't care about stupid adults- but PLEASE buckle in your kids.

Well, let's just hope that you never have a car crash. I doubt that you would find your "sin of omission" so amusing when your face smashes through your windshield. Happy traveling.
