I was wondering is UIC affordable for an out of state student. I've already been excepted but i'm not sure if I can afford to go there or not.

The University of Illinois has a policy of creaming the OOSers. In terms of tuition, for public schools, it is the second most expensive school. For OOS students entering 2006/07 school year, their tuition is $9,585 per semester. You will also have to pay fees, which is about $1500 per semester. In state tuition for 06/07 is $3,390 per semester.
If you come, try to establish in-state residency, but that is not easy in Illinois.
The one good thing, once in, your tuition will not change for 4 years.
