I moved to Lloyds from Barclays, who were awful. Maybe it is because i use a small sub branch of tsb, but i have had no problems, the staff all appear to know what they are doing, and go out of their way to help me. Never had to go into a main branch, mind, would probably be a different story!!

Stands For Totally Secure Banking, Lloyds added it in 1995 when they took over the Trustee Savings Bank

I bank with them and I've no complaints. Mind you, I always make sure I never go overdrawn, so no charges are incurred. Whenever I've had occasion to see a member of staff, they've always been very helpful. One even suggested an online savings account which pays mega-interest, which I opened and yes, it does!
In my experience, LloydsTSB are all right.

Absolutely, I took over a Brownies group account and it took them 9 months to change the details correctly, they were highly embarrassed by my pregnant belly making a monthly complaint. And yes Abbey National are no better. I am with HSBC and after 23 years so far so good. If your not happy change, banks give you nothing for loyalty you must do the best for you and your money.

Mind charges are going to be reviewed, was on the news last night. I've been charged £30 for an overdraft - not good.

Never had any trouble with them.

Mind you I'm always good with money, so never get into debt etc.

But I can well believe they are bad for everyone else. If you don't like them, vote with your feet.
