Having studied Einstein I seriously doubt that he gave a hoot about them as word was rollling in daily in the papers about how the Japanese had tortured and executed large numbers of captured western men, women and children.

At that time in history, it was almost 100% consensus that the more dead Japanese, the better.

But he did tell the hundreds of thousands of rape and murder victims of the Japanese in Nanking, China and he did tell the 90% who died in Japanese prison camps.
