There are many truck routes and many more routes they are not allowed on.

A good thing to have is the most current Rand McNally Motor Carriers Road Atlas - available at Truck stops. It highlights the main routes, lets you know of weigh stations and rest areas plus it has a section of low bridges or restricted roads. Then you get a good computer map program and working with both you can plan the best route to take for the trip.

You can also go to www.mcra.randmacnally.com for road construction and other information.

My brother is out on a truck now. I have helped find him routes, but, mainly just zooming in on Satellite and see how a road looked and if it one way. Most times he call who he deliver too if it a first time and they may tell him to come in a certain way or route to avoid traffic congestion or getting on a dead end street. If, you not have anyone give you links I will call his wife when I can and see what links they use other than Maps.
