Alot will depend on landscape, climate, what other houses in the area look like ... earth tones? Warm Stone with Java or Mega Greige accents or any combination of those colors for a understated elegant appearance.

Want something bolder? Bohemian Black accents with Leather Bound and Brassy.

We're working on the color schemes for our Nevada retirement home, so I've been asking our daughter (the artist) for help. Of course she says GO WILD with the colors like Luau Green and Juneberry.

These are all Sherwin-Williams colors.

I lean towards the light brown or peach depending on the area you are in. Can't say I like any of number 2. Number 1 lime green YUCK and the whites are just boring.

it depends on where the house is located. The first and the last is really good for a caribbean location (I know, I live in puerto rico, everything here is colorful)

The second one sounds hideous...

why not paint it a normal color like white with navy shutters or something? look in your neighbor hood, see what the color scheme is and then try and go with something that fits the theme.. trust me, you will thank me in the long run.

Since each side has a northern exposure, that would mean he's in the south pole. The only bears there are polar bears, which are white. White is the correct answer.

I can't go with any of those. I like smokey blue myself trimmed in simple white. Contrast always looks great.

The only green I would go with would be hunter green.

As for your sister......just bypass her ideas.

cream, beige, white, pale colours enhance the apperance of the buildings size, and will not be too offencive to the eyes!

#1 sounds conservative - If you and the neighbors don't get along then use #'s 2 or 3.
