You're going to laugh when you hear this but i have a friend
that thinks that cigars are NEVER smoked, meaning that he thinks that the smoke never goes directly into you lungs.

some how he believes that when you smoke a cigar you only hold the smoke in your mouth (i agree this can happen)

yet he refuses to believe it enters your lungs/ or that you intentionally inhale it and that only idiots inhale the smoke into their lungs because, apparently "only noobs do this"

I have been arguing the fact with him for 20 mins. he will not see reason

I say

"then how to people to get addicted to it if it doesn't enter their blood stream via their lungs?"

he says "through the skin in their mouth"

and i go crazy.

help him set it right

RESPOND IN FORCE AND QUICKLY.

Yes you are both correct, cigars are meant not to be inhaled, same with smoking a pipe as well. But people do tend to inhale, I hope I've helped, take care.

Even if he doesn't inhale, he is breathing the air that is heavily contaminated by burning tobacco, so he's getting a lot of smoke in his lungs, the same as anyone else who happens to be unfortunate enough to be breathing the air near a lit cigar.

well, ur both right. cigars are notmeant to be inhaled, but many people (especially cigarette smokers) DO inhale it into their lungs.. Keep in mind that bothways of smoking them are unhealthy and potentially cancer causing (mouth cancer vs lung cancer, yum.) so ya, both are right.

All smokeable substances are enhaled into a person's lungs to some degree, whether they conciously try to do it or just lightly puff on the product.

Dipping snuff and chewing tobacco don't have smoke, but people are addicted to them and people get gum and lip cancers
