I am going to finish my Pre-U program by this 2 month. But I am still uncertain which university course should I future to. I prefer something which is more into Research &Development and related to Physics. There are simply too many weird course available and too many scientific field I never heard of. I would like to hear some recommandations here. And can anyone tell me what is 'Photonic Engineering' ?

That sounds a lot like me . I had my pre. Eng. and got a chance to go to work for NASA . Worked my way up to network trouble shooter and travel all over the world. I was one of the network lead Eng. Lots of physics are good but mine was electronics with a little computer. Good luck
