Look. If you want to lose weight really fast... you'll just in time gain it after a while. Because if you lose weight suddenly, your body will hate you and make you put more weight in your body when you start eating.
The best thing to do is to lose the weight in kilograms. Lose 2 kg a month or every 2 weeks and your heart won't be so mean to you. From personal experience, I lost 10kg suddenly ... and I was a anorexic person before... My heart could not cope up with the drastic body change. From a fat to anorexic state can put your heart into so much stress.
If you are impatient, you will never lose weight. If you plan and follow your work out regime, you will lose weight the healthy way. Eat healthy, exercise, think of setting achieveable weight loss goals like (this week, I want to lose 2kg). THe most important thing is to set achievable goals your body can do. If you set impossible goals like losing 30kg in a week, you are going to end up killing yourself. THe drastic change would make your heart die out.

first you have to realize that you did not gain any weight fast, so there is no "fast" way to lose weight and lose it healthy. Best thing is to bump up the exercise, I eat a lot of protien (not all meat) and fiber (not all from bread), limit sugar limit bad fats etc. just a good old fashioned diet. at first you will lose up to 5 lbs the first week, then they will taper off and you will lose about 2-4 lbs a week, which is safe, and will ensure that you dont gain it back.
now when you skip meals, your body goes into starvation mode, it doesnt know when you are going to feed it, so it tends to keep everything from what you eat, instead of processing it normally.your body will horde all the good and the bad. so be sensible about losing weight if you want to keep it off. one more thing, any doctor or exercise trainer will tell you, eat 6 small meals a day, that helps keep your matabolism up so you can continue to lose weight.

what i did, to jump start my weight loss, was to have one day as semi-fasting, meaning fluids (make sure anything is low fat and low sodium, low sugar),,,,,,, and perhaps some crackers,,,,,,,,,, then after that,,,,, i made sure to cut down on what i ate, while still eating anything i wanted to,,,,, and added in exercise,,,,,, besides setting a certain time aside for it,,,,,, i also jog in place or dance around, during tv commercials, every half hour for a few minutes if im on the computer etc etc,,,,,, you really can add in alot of burning off calories this way,,,,,,, and its works better for me,,,,, then the hour or even half hour of straight exercise,,,,
when i started my weight loss "program" about a year ago, i would do the fast thing about every other week,,,,, besides losing weight, it helped me really consider how much i do eat,,,,,,,
i have gone from a size 14 to a size 8, it seemed fast to me, compared to how i lost before,,,,, but this has been over a years time
