self hypnosis - no ,working with a hypnotist- yes, this usually requires a fairly deep trance and requires reinforcement on a regular basis.
this procedure is only viable with people under 35 some times under 30.
If you meant using a tape or cd , consider this as similar to ,working with a hypnotist. you will find a few trips to a hypnotist to condition you to the process as money well spent
good luck and do not be greedy.
please remember that all hypnosis is self hypnosis. the difference is that based on what the hypnotist sees you can go deeper with the proper suggestions.
