It's hard to say - the character was an American 007 named "Jimmy Bond". I don't really considered that he was THE James Bond.
As an actor he was okay, but he certainly doesn't stand out in my mind as being particularly noteworthy.

He only played Bond on the tv show 'Climax!' Season 1, Episode 3 and it ran as a tele-movie. It didn't do well at all. Was finally released at theatres over 20 years later in 1981 at a Bond festivale. I didn't see it but would have to guess he wasn't that good of a Bond. If he was, then the episode would have been a hit and he would've played Bond in a real movie. :-) He seemed to be in lots of stuff I've never seen but I did see him in 'The Shining'. I think he played the manager of the Overlook Hotel, but he may have played another character. I'm trying to find out...lol
