In a nutshell, from the Big Bang, from gravity, and from the force of exploding suns. The proto-solar system was a very dynamic place!

There are theories on the conservation of energy and momentum or bodies in motion.

Once you put a body in motion it continues to stay in motion until some force stops it.

This is probably one of the biggest matters that opposes the Aether theory. Friction would be a force that would slow and eventually stop such motion. If there was an Aether (a thin molecular film that exists in space) that would have a friction effect.

The only things that affect us would be gravity wells from other planets, the moon and the sun. (The theory Astrolgers use for human events. Lines of force due to alignment.)

Revolution is a balancing act and our oribit is decaying slightly, as is the moons orbit, but nothing will happen for hundreds of thousands of years.

So because we spin and revolve we will continue to do so for a long long time.

As to how it all happened there are probably a few theories.

One theory says we formed from matter ejected by the sun.

Another theory is we were flying debris in space that got captured by the sun through gravity and our momentum and that gravity canted into an orbit.

The final theory is the religious on that God put it all together and make it happen.

No ultimate proofs exist for any of these theories, however the bodies in motion view is very provable and simply explains how it works.

It's also how we put our own bodies, such as satlites, into orbit.

We know the process there, a rocket with thrust to cause the motion.

As to the Earth and plaents, the Big Bang theory of expelling mass from a fusion reaction is considered the reason all things in space move.

As for the God theory, we know no specifics about the means other than sheer force of will.

Momentum. It is just coasting on momentum, there is no energy source other than the angular momentum from the creation of the solar system billions of years ago. Just like water swirls faster and faster as it goes down the drain, dust and gas swirls faster and faster as it gets pulled into a forming solar system by gravity. Then all the planets and the Sun just keep turning on momentum, because there is no friction is space to slow them down.

the clouds which created the earth was rotating and we know that the momentum must be constant so the earth must rotating
to make the momentum constant (that was for the rotation)
the clouds which created the solar system was rotating so the earth must rotating too (revolution)

both. when the earth rotates and revolves a massive amount of centrifugal force is generated. that gives earth its endless energy
